Faith in Uncertain Seasons

As we stepped into the new year here in Uganda, January brought unexpected challenges. During the national election period, the country experienced several days of unrest, protests, and complete internet shutdown. For organizations like ours, this created real obstacles — communication with donors stopped, mobile money services were interrupted, and daily coordination with partners became difficult.

But even in uncertainty, the Lord remained faithful. Our children remained safe, our staff showed incredible dedication, and daily life inside Whispers of Love continued. While the outside world felt unstable, inside our gates there was still laughter, learning, meals shared together, and prayers spoken over little lives that God has entrusted to us. Thank you for being part of the covering that makes this possible.

A Beautiful Step Forward — Welcoming Teacher Flavia

One of the greatest joys this month has been welcoming Flavia, our new onsite preschool teacher.

Early childhood education is critical for the children in our care. Many of our youngest ones come to us after experiencing trauma, neglect, or unstable early environments. Having a dedicated preschool teacher onsite allows us to focus not only on safety and nutrition, but also on early learning, emotional development, and school readiness.

Flavia has already brought structure, creativity, and so much love into our preschool classroom. The children are thriving in routine learning time, songs, early literacy activities, and play-based education designed just for them.

We are so thankful for the way God continues to provide the right people at the right time.

How You Can Help — School Uniforms & Supplies

As a new school year begins, we are preparing every child at Whispers of Love to step into school with dignity and confidence.

In Uganda, school uniforms and supplies are required for attendance. For many vulnerable children, this is one of the biggest barriers to accessing education.

This year, you can sponsor one child’s school uniforms and supplies for the entire year for just $50.

This covers:

• School uniforms

• Exercise books and writing supplies

• Basic school materials required for attendance

When you sponsor a child’s school needs, you are doing more than providing clothing and notebooks — you are helping remove barriers to education and helping a child walk into school feeling prepared, confident, and valued.
